Most of the courses are easily accessible from state highways, but several are tucked nicely away in the gentle hills of the county. Apple Valley Golf Course

Apple Valley is one of central Ohio's top rated golf courses. It is a par 72, 18-hole championship course on 160 beautiful acres. This challenging course is for the intermediate to advanced player and is open April to November 1, from 7 a.m. until dark. Soft spikes are mandatory for all golfers. Located at the privately owned Apple Valley Resort, the golf course is open to the public and annually hosts a variety of tournaments including the Ohio Public Links Championship |

Chapel Hill Golf Course |
This 18-hole, 72-par course is a beautiful blend of narrow wooded fairways and rolling hills. Chapel Hill Golf Course has become one of central Ohio's favorites. The course is open year round from 7 a.m. until dark. |

The Mount Vernon Country Club is Knox County's only private course. The Club recently added nine new holes to the original nine, making it an 18-hole golf course. The rolling terrain adds to the challenge of this course. The Country Club Golf Course is open April 1 to November for club members and their guests. |

Hidden Holes Golf Club |
Hidden Holes Golf Club is newly renovated course open to the public. This new exhilarating site for golfers of all levels is located just north of Fredericktown, between State Route 13 and State Route 546 at Palmyra. The course features five par 4’s and four par 3’s as well as a beautiful new clubhouse that will be completed summer of 2005. The course will be open for play April 1, 2005. Hours will be 8 a.m. until dusk everyday. Memberships and leagues are available. |
